I’m here again to serve you with another startup. Well this time is not exactly the startup but review about a revamped site. I’m talking about oldest city guide – TimesCity.com (local city guide, rather I would rather say local food guide). Recently, Timescity.com has been revamped, let’s have a view: Design: Captions: Listings: Features: What put this off: Competitor Review AskLaila.com Burrp.com TheCityGuide.in YReach.com Our Review: Timescity needs to define the vision of portal – will they diversify to other business streams like Movies, Events etc…or stick to food category and keep on adding new things related to food industry then this portal will be able to attract more visitor else lost his way.
• Cool, funky three column design layout (although three column design is outdated)
• Cool colour combination – red, black and grey
• Used bold and large fonts
I like the captions used by timescity for the sections, few of them which i like are:
• Who’s up for sweet dish
• Pocket Friendly
• For the Fast and Foodious
• Sunday Brunches
• Party with Flair
• Covered only few cities
• In cities, few localities are covered (should cover whole city)
• Have featured chaat/roadside eatieries also
• Click to call
• Listing on Map
• Request results on Mobile. Just send a SMS titled ASK followed by locality and cuisine to 58888 and TimesCity.com will serve you the list of restro and bars.
• Feature only food joints
• Events, movies, lifestyle a lot more should also be featured
• Listings of only 6 cities with major locality
• Have listings of 12 cities
• Feature Listings, Movies, Events, Articles and best deals
• Have listings of 10 cities
• Featuring Food, Beauty & Spa, Shopping, Events, Movies a lot more…
• Burrp is also on Mobile
• Have listings of 12 cities
• Featuring Food, Beauty & Spa, Art & Entertainment, Hotels, Shopping a lot more…
• Have listings of 7 cities

In an all, web is being flooded with local search engines. All are serving similar features and listings to user.
